Blue badge-ing through Manchester

Friday, July 17th, 2009

All too often we live in a country and never really see, experience or appreciate what the different cities and towns have to offer us. This really should be considered a crime. We are far too happy to flit off to other countries to go and experience life elsewhere. However, we all too easily neglect to experience and see the jewels under our very noses.

A jewel like Manchester should not go unseen and not experienced. Yes, you may think that it is just another city in the UK now. But wait till you have had a Blue Badge tour of Manchester, it will transform the way that you see this city.

Buddies in blue

You don’t need to stay at any specific hotels or luxury bed and breakfast places to make use of the fantastic blue badge tours of Manchester. All you need is the comfort and affordability of Manchester serviced apartments. In fact, combining a blue badge tour and a stay in a serviced apartment can present a very attractive weekend break.

Not to mention an affordable one at that. The blue badge tours are conducted by professionals called blue badge guides. These guides are trained and tested and they are registered with the North West Tourist Board. And they are also recognised by the English Tourism Board. These guides provide private and group tours in a variety of languages to suit your needs.

You can even make the trip more affordable by travelling as a group of family or friends. This can cut individual tour costs and will definitely cut accommodation costs as you can share a serviced apartment together for the stay.

Serviced City Pads called to the rescue following recent crane accident in Liverpool

Monday, July 13th, 2009

Serviced City Pads, the Liverpool based serviced apartment booking company was called into action last week following the accident at Chandlers Wharf, Liverpool, where a crane toppled into 2 of the 4 buildings that make up the residential apartment development known as Chandlers Wharf.

Serviced City Pads, the largest of Liverpool’s serviced apartment booking companies, were tasked with finding emergency accommodation (city centre serviced apartments) for more than 100 people who had been made temporarily homeless by the crane accident. Serviced City Pads were contacted by Peter Kenny of Honeybourne Kenny and Partners, managing agents at Chandlers Wharf and a client of the company.

Chris Rose, Director at Serviced City Pads commented:

“We successfully completed what was a mammoth task by the close of the day ensuring that everybody who needed somewhere to stay had a fantastic quality Liverpool city centre serviced apartment in which to stay in.

Tuesday was an incredibly busy day for us at Serviced City Pads. We were able to find serviced apartments for the last of the 110 displaced residents just after 8pm. We liaised with many of our partner operators across the city and spoke to all of the residents involved throughout the day. As a locally based business it was really rewarding to be able to help so many local people through what is undoubtedly a very stressful time for them.

I genuinely believe that no other company Liverpool could have worked through and completed a task of this size in the way that we did at Serviced City Pads, and that is a fantastic thing to be able to say. We’ve had some terrific feedback which is very gratifying.”

Serviced City Pads is a serviced apartment booking company based on Duke Street, Liverpool 1. We have been trading since 2007 and have apartments listed across the UK, although our core markets are in Liverpool and Manchester. We have the vast majority of Liverpool’s serviced apartment operators listed on www.servicedcitypads.com and see serviced apartments as a great alternative to staying in hotels, whether on business or leisure.

We deal with short term apartments for leisure and corporate visitors across the country. Stays can range for 1 day to 1 year.

Serviced City Pads is particularly interested in working with companies who currently use hotels across the UK. We believe we can offer considerable savings and more space for employees currently have no option other than to stay within the 4 walls of hotel room when working away from home.  We also feel that we have proved that we can offer an excellent disaster recovery service for apartment management companies.

Please give us a call on 0844 335 8866.
