A Short Break Away From It All

Wednesday, May 26th, 2010

Short breaks have become extremely popular for many of us, especially for anyone who wants to escape from the pressure of work and commitments for a weekend in order to recharge those batteries. A city break is the usual choice, having a wide choice of activities to choose from. Belfast is a city that has become very popular with weekend visitors, with a vast array of pubs, clubs and restaurants for you to choose from. Shopping in Belfast includes many shops as well as an arcade which can be followed by a visit to an art exhibition or museum. Belfast City airport hotels are therefore in demand.

Getting to Belfast is relatively easy as there are two airports, the Belfast City airport and the Belfast International airport, which are both within easy travelling distance of the city centre. Very often a visitor to Belfast will opt to stay in one of the Belfast City airport hotels, which are good value and plentiful. However, staying in a hotel for your short break can become very cramped after a night, with no option for privacy or solitude. You are also limited in your dining options as you will have to eat out. The noise of a hotel can also leave you feeling quite drained which is not the desired effect of your short break away from home.

A preferred alternative to Belfast City airport hotels is an apartmen,t which will give you the space and privacy which is lacking in a hotel. Here at Serviced City Pads we are able to locate the perfect serviced apartments in Belfast for you, providing good value with the luxury of a hotel.

Belfast – The Place to Be

Wednesday, April 14th, 2010

Belfast is a fast developing city in Northern Ireland, being the second largest in Ireland. Although, it is relatively easy to travel around Belfast, as there is an efficient bus service as well as plenty of taxis to be found. A point to remember, however, is that although as Belfast International airport is around sixteen miles from Belfast city centre, taxis tend to be rather expensive.

Since the late 90s Belfast has seen much development, with more and more businesses settling there. The shopping centres are plentiful, as well as a bustling nightlife with plenty to do for everyone. With increasing business taking place in Belfast with employees and business men travelling from all over Great Britain and overseas, Belfast International airport hotels are often busy and crowded for this reason. For anyone travelling on business this can be distracting – especially if they want a quiet place to work from the hotel.

When travelling on business, Belfast International airport hotels offer convenience at a fairly low cost initially, but making phone calls and using the Internet can soon add up to a huge bill. For anyone who has to hold a business meeting whilst in Belfast, there is the additional cost of hiring a suitable room for a conference, plus food for the guests.

Here at Serviced City Pads we have serviced apartments in Belfast conveniently located for both the city centre and Belfast International airport. Our apartments are well placed away from the noise of the airport but close enough to the life of the city. Our prices frequently work out much cheaper than a hotel, with the cost of using the Internet included in the hire charge. A serviced apartment in Belfast also guarantees much more space and amenities when compared to generic hotel rooms.

A Place to Stay in Belfast

Tuesday, April 13th, 2010

There are many occasions when you would like to visit a different city for an event ,but have to consider whether you would be able to return home the same day or stay in a hotel. This could occur when you are going to a family event, a sporting event or maybe to see a show or do a spot of sightseeing for the weekend. One of the latest sports to emerge is ice hockey, which has become extremely popular over the last decade.

Belfast has a very talented and popular ice hockey team, the Belfast Giants, who play their home matches at Odyssey Arena. Of course, fans of opposing teams like to travel to away games to give their support to their favourite ice hockey team, and staying for one or two nights in one of the Belfast airport hotels – depending upon the number of games being played – is a much more convenient option than travelling long distances within a day.

There are two airports in Belfast and plenty of Belfast airport hotels, but often you find that they are crowded and quite noisy – especially at night. If you are travelling as a family, Belfast airport hotels can work out very expensive as most families require two rooms. A better value alternative is a serviced apartment in Belfast, which will work out cheaper than a hotel and provides the choice of eating in the apartment or dining out. Here at Serviced City Pads we provide a maid service as well as high quality apartments, so you can relax in style.
