Luxurious corporate accommodation available in Bristol

Wednesday, June 30th, 2010

Bristol is a city with a lot to offer. Within the city there are many thriving businesses and many corporate travellers are often required to visit the city on business. These guests in Bristol require luxurious accommodation and sometimes hotels just do not offer the space, comfort and luxury that many would prefer.

However, if looking for corporate accommodation in Bristol, hotels are not your only option. Luxury serviced apartments provide the ideal alternative to a hotel and can often be a more affordable accommodation option too.

Serviced apartments in Bristol are a self-catering option and provide guests with a spacious apartment of their own where they can eat, work, unwind and sleep whenever they like. Many hotels do not offer relaxing places to unwind after a hard day and only provide a small and basic hotel room. This kind of accommodation can make a business trip dull and depressing but this is definitely not the attitude of those staying in a luxury apartment. Those who choose serviced apartments in Bristol have a comfortable and enjoyable stay in a luxurious and peaceful environment.

We at Serviced City Pads have a selection of serviced apartments perfect for corporate accommodation in Bristol. We know what guests are looking for from high quality accommodation and have developed our apartments carefully so we can give it to them. Tastefully furnished and fitted with everything you may need, our apartments provide an excellent haven just for you when staying in Bristol on business.

Looking for something different to the Bristol Airport hotels?

Monday, June 28th, 2010

There are flights to a number of impressive destinations currently available from Bristol Airport. Whether travelling within the UK, Europe or the rest of the world, Bristol Airport can cater to your needs.

Within the vicinity of any of the major airports there are always hotels to offer travellers somewhere close to the airport to relax and rest. Bristol Airport hotels are available and are a popular choice. However, these hotels also have a number of disadvantages which put some potential guests off and leave them feeling like they can’t stay near the airport of their choice.

A common issue with hotels like those at Bristol Airport is that they offer basic accommodation at an expensive price. Hotels located near airports are a necessity for some and so can charge high rates for their accommodation. Another common problem is that these hotels are often very crowded and noisy. If travelling, you need somewhere quiet and relaxing to spend your time and unfortunately a number of hotels just do not offer this. The result is many are now reluctant to stay in airport hotels.

However, this does not mean they can’t stay near the airport. Bristol Airport hotels are not the only type of accommodation available. Serviced apartments near Bristol airport are also available and offer great value for money.

At Serviced City Pads, our serviced apartments are private, spacious, quiet and luxuriously furnished to create a warm and inviting environment. Our apartments are also available for most budgets so are the perfect solution to your Bristol Airport accommodation needs.

A Group Outing in Bristol

Monday, April 19th, 2010

Many people like to celebrate special events such as birthdays, hen nights or stag nights in style by going away for a long weekend to a different city, where they will be able to celebrate for days rather than just a few hours. Bristol is a popular venue for many, with a great combination of restaurants, bars and nightlife as well as plenty of areas to explore during the day. Serviced apartments in Bristol can be ideal for a trip of this sort, simpy because the rules and regulations of a hotel won’t apply.

Bristol is also within easy reach of London by train, which means that a day can be spent sightseeing in the capital city. One of the easiest ways to reach Bristol from anywhere in Great Britain is by air, as it is much faster than travelling by road. If you are only staying in Bristol for a long weekend you will be hoping to make the most of your time, and not travelling needlessly. Thus, opting for a plane trip can save valuable time.

For many groups of people gathering together to celebrate a special occasion, a hotel seems to be the obvious choice, and Bristol airport hotels are convenient for this purpose. However, the airport is eight miles away from the city centre, which is where you will find most of the nightlife. An apartment in the city centre would be a more convenient option, as well as providing good economy. Group celebrations often work out quite expensive as Bristol airport hotels are not the cheapest option, whereas the cost of an apartment can be shared between the whole party much easier.

Her at Serviced City Pads we have many serviced apartments in Bristol which are situated in the city centre, close to all amenities which will make your stay in Bristol perfect.

How to Get a Great Value Hotel near Bristol Airport

Wednesday, March 31st, 2010

Everyone is always on the lookout for a bargain, and wanting great value accommodation is no exception. Luckily, because you’ve already decided that you want a hotel near Bristol airport, it should cost a lot less than one in the centre of town. You’re already saving yourself money, but you should still look around to make sure that you’re getting the best deal possible.

It’s only by looking around and comparing a few potential forms of accommodation that you’ll be able to make the right decision, as if you take the first one you find then you can never be sure that you’re getting the right quality or value for money. Many people are unaware of the benefits that serviced apartments in Bristol can offer, for instance.

Going online would be the quickest way to find a few options, so head to review or price comparison sites before you decide which hotel near Bristol airport is for you. Remember to look at the services, amenities and quality of the room as well as the price, as you don’t want to be left disappointed when you get there.

But, remember that you shouldn’t take their online prices at face value. A lot of hotels will be able to offer you great discounts if you speak to them in person, particularly if it’s a last-minute booking and they need to fill the room, so don’t be afraid to haggle.

As you can see, there are several ways you can get a great value hotel near Bristol airport. As long as you do your research you’ll be able to find some great prices, so never go for the first one you find and always see how much you can get for your money. For longer stays or for people requiring more room, serviced apartments in Bristol are worth researching.

Why Bristol Airport Hotels Aren’t Always Best Value

Wednesday, January 13th, 2010

Why would you rent a room in one of the Bristol airport hotels when you or your party could be enjoying the luxury and space of a whole apartment to yourself?

More and more people are reaping the financial benefits of renting serviced apartments rather than staying in Bristol airport hotels, along with the added advantages of having more space, and the option to self-cater.

Serviced City Pads is a leading provider of this kind of accommodation in cities across the UK, including Bristol, where we have dozens of self-contained, fully-furnished properties.

Our prices, starting at just £75 a night for an apartment sleeping two, are often cheaper during the week than at weekends. But whenever you travel, you’re bound to save money compared to the cost of Bristol airport hotels.

All of our accommodation is at least as good as that provided by a three-star hotel. We rate it as ‘Good’, ‘Better’ or ‘Best’, with the ‘Best’ apartments offering maximum luxury similar to a five-star hotel.

Maid service, Internet access, the option to order breakfast and freshly changed bed linen and towels are all part of the service with our apartments.

We’re well used to dealing with corporate customers – so talk to us about our business discounts and setting up an account with us. We know how demanding it can be to be away on business, and that accommodation is one thing you shouldn’t have to worry about.

And with us, you won’t! It’s easy to browse our selection of beautifully finished properties online, and to make an online reservation. We also offer a range of secure payment options.

Serviced City Pads working with Max Hotels in Bristol

Thursday, November 26th, 2009

Serviced City Pads, the independent serviced apartment booking company, is delighted to be working with MAX Hotels after listing their Broad Quay serviced apartments, Bristol on the company website.

Chris Rose, Director at Serviced City Pads commented “We see Bristol as a city with huge potential for corporate stays in serviced apartments. We have noticed over the last couple of years that our corporate clients really appreciate the additional space that an apartment offers v staying in a hotel. Our aim is to really establish ourselves in the Bristol market over the next year.

Max Hotels provide a fantastic product in a number of locations across the UK and we know that our clients will enjoy staying at any of their locations. In fact, we are also placing clients at their property in Reading. We look forward to strengthening the relationship with between both companies throughout 2010. They are just the sort of company that we enjoy working with as they are easy to deal with, act in a professional manner and offer a fantastic product in more than one location”

The serviced apartments at Broad Quay have been open since mid 2009, so are virtually brand new. They are located in the heart of Bristol within easy access of many restaurants, bars and shops. Bristol is remowned for it’s bohemian attitude and this has manifested itself in many small, trendy restaurants opening up acros the city.

The Broad Quay serviced apartments range in size from Studio, 1 bedroom and 2 bedroom, so as well as being ideal for the corporate client visiting Bristol; they are also a great palce to stay for a family visiting Bristol for leisure purposes. Imagine if you a family of 2 adults with 2 kids visiting Bristol for a short stay, lets say 3 or 4 days, then it wouldn’t be feasible to stay in a hotel in Bristol – unless you were able to afford a family room, and even then it would mean everybody sharing the same room. That’s not exactly staying in comfort is it? A 2 bedroom serviced apartment would mean that the children have their own bedroom and the adults have their own privacy. The same applies to two couples planning to stay in Bristol. In this case you would need to book two hotel rooms and this is where the trip starts to become expensive. Again a modern 2 bedroom apartment will allow each couple to have their own bedroom (many of the apartments also have 2 bathrooms), and split the cost of the apartment. This is an example of where booking a serviced apartment in Bristol becomes a much cheaper alternative to staying in a hotel in Bristol. You will also have more space in which to relax together.

If you are working in Bristol and you are interested in booking a serviced apartment or if you are planning a short city break in Bristol, then why not call Serviced City Pads on 0844 335 8866. We will be delighted to help organise the perfect accommodation for your stay in Bristol. Check out www.servicedcitypads.com to see our range of apartments in Bristol, including the fantastic Broad Quay serviced apartments.

Is Bristol graffiti art or crime?

Tuesday, September 8th, 2009

Bristol is unofficially the graffiti capital city of the UK. Is this something that the city should be proud of, or is this tag something that the residents of Bristol should be ashamed? Graffiti, or street art, is a subject that divides opinion. Many residents in Bristol feel that graffiti is a crime, vanadalism and nothing more than an eyesore, that spoils views, houses and apartments in Bristol. Street artisits would argue that graffiti in Bristol is a beautiful, thought provoking form of free art that visitors to Bristol should enjoy during their stay in Bristol. They would argue that their graffiti makes a visit to Bristol more enjoyable for the tourist, with the vibrant colours that emanate from their spray cans adding life and soul to the Bristol city centre streets, complimenting the new apartment developments in Bristol city centre as well as the more traditional architecture of Bristol.
Bristol has always had an underground artistic culture that has encouraged artistic expression and this has translated itself to many walls across the city.
There is a world of difference from an individual artists tag to a life size master piece created from hours and hours of artistic craft. However, graffiti is still a subject that divides opinion. Perhaps it is more acceptable to the short stay visitor to Bristol. Afterall, if you are staying in a serviced apartment in Bristol, perhaps visiting the city for just a few days, then you can really appreciate the stunning artistic creations without having to live with them. That is the arguments of residents in Bristol who feel that visitors to Britol don’t understand that they have to see the graffiti day after day. Tourists in Bristol just come and go.
The above argument starts to get more complicated when it becomes clear that graffiti is actually bringing money into the Bristol economy. It might not be to your taste, but commercially, graffiti is a growing revenue stream for Bristol. People are booking serviced apartments in Bristol to come and see what is becoming famous graffiti. Really?
One word that underpins this argument is “Banksy”. Banksy is the most famous street artist in the world (perhaps with Blec le rat) and comes from Bristol (although nobody is ever really sure who he is). His work, which started on the streets of Bristol is now deemed to be collectable and many famous stars buy Banksy creations for Hundreds of thousands of Pounds. Recently Banksy staged an official exhibition at Bristol city museum. His work is thought provoking and innovative. More than 250,000 people viewed the free exhibition in Clifton, Bristol with many people visiting Bristol from the USA just to view the exhibition.
So, maybe graffiti does have a place in the mainstream of the art world. The residents of Bristol need to make a decision. Is the increased revenue from visitors spending their money in Bristol (they book apartments in Bristol, eat in Bristol restaurants, take taxis in Bristol, stay in hotels in Bristol, fly into Bristol airport – all cash generators for the city economy) worth the growing level of “vandalism”. Take the graffiti away and they might just lose their next Banksy, the next big thing, that would increase the visitors to Bristol – culture vulture who want to visit Bristol “Graffiti capital of the world”. Maybe that is something to be proud of.
If you are interested in staying in a serviced apartment in Bristol, than call Serviced City Pads, a leading booking agent for apartments in Bristol and other locations across the UK. Once you have arranged your stay in Bristol, you can walk the streets of Clifton in search of previous Banksy (and many other street artists) creations. To check out our apartments listed in Bristol please go to www.servicedcitypads.com or call the apartments reservation team on 0844 335 8866.

Bristol Organic Food Festival 2009

Thursday, September 3rd, 2009

The organic food festival is held in the harbourside area of Bristol on September 12th and 13th. This year is the festvals 9th. It will be well worth paying a visit during your stay in Bristol. This food festival is organised by the Soil Association and Yeo Valley and is the largest of it’s kind in Europe.
If you do decide to visit the Organic food festval Bristol you will be able to meet local producers to understand what Organic actually means, as well as meeting some of the best chefs in Bristol.
If you are thinking of visiting Bristol and would like to stay for more than a day or two you might consider booking a serviced apartment in Bristol with Serviced City Pads. Our apartments in Bristol are modern and spacious as well having easy access to Bristol city centre and Bristol harbourside. Apartments in Bristol are being seen by an increasing number of visitors, whether in Bristol on business or visiting Bristol for pleasure, as a preferred alternative to staying in a hotel in Bristol. Bristol hotels, like hotels across the UK are often viewed as being too formal, and whilst they are probably the best option for a single night stay in Bristol, an apartment offers you more space and flexibility if your stay is to last for more than a couple of days.
A hotel room is just that, a room. Whereas a serviced apartment in Bristol can be seen as a home away from home. A Bristol serviced apartment is the perfect alternative to staying in a hotel. An apartment will be furnished with a fully fitted kitchen which allows you to cook what you like and eat when you want to. The majority of the apartments in Bristol have a dining area off a spacious living room which means that you can eat in comfort without having to worry about getting crumbs on your bed – a commong gripe with corporate guests staying in hotels in Bristol. You might just want to chill out in your living room and watch the TV, maybe with your family. An apartment in Bristol starts to offer more value for money v staying in a Bristol hotel if you are with your family or one other colleague. 2 bedroom apartments will offer 50% savings against booking two hotel rooms. The apartment option also allows all of the family to stay together.
Of course, as Bristol is a city with such rich heritage and culture, you will probably plan to stay in Bristol for a week or even more. There is so much to see and do. It is worth checking out the Bristol Out and About section of the Serviced City Pads website. It will give you an idea of places to go and see as well as tips of where to eat during your time in Bristol.
So, if you do like the sound of learning more about organic food then check out www.theorganicfoodfestival.co.uk. Entry into the event is £5.
