With replacement bass player Melissa Auf der Mar, The Smashing Pumpkins embarked on one last epic world tour before calling it a day. However, Corgan announced the reformation of the group in 2005. With a line-up that is now completely changed with the exception of Billy Corgan himself, the band are now touring and recording again. Instead, they let Fulham fight their way back to 2 – 2, and have dropped two valuable points. However, despite this lapse, there can be no doubt that City have improved yet again over last season – some of their football has been an absolute joy to watch. If they can be stronger at the back and keep up the kind of attacking flair they have been demonstrating, then it is easy to see why they are title contenders.
