It might be impossible to see the real Oasis live these days, but this May you can see a genuine imitation when the tribute band Definitely Mightbe will be rocking the Liverpool O2 Academy. The show will also feature Changing Man, a Paul Weller tribute act. That’s a lot of Britpop in one evening!

Oasis are one of the most popular British bands of all time, producing a string of hit songs like “Champagne Supernova”, “Wonderwall”, and “Live Forever” and selling millions of records. The band were defined by the fractious relationship between the two Gallagher brothers, Noel and Liam. In 2009, the tension between the two finally caused the band to break up. There had been arguments before but the pair had always made their peace. However, this time was different. Liam has gone on to form the new band Beady Eye with his erstwhile Oasis bandmates, and Noel has gone solo with his Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds project.
