The Hilton Hotel Deansgate, Manchester - August 24th, 2009
It would be fair to say that the Hilton hotel Deasnsgate Manchester which stands proudly at one end of Deansgate is Manchester’s premier iconic structure. Amazingly, this Manchester hotel was built by a Liverpool property developer!
The Beetham Tower is 47 storeys high and is the second tallest structure in the UK. The building is effectively split into 3 parts: 1. Residential apartments that make up floors 24-47 – famous residents include footballers such as Phil Neville; 2. Cloud 23 restaurant and bar; 3. Hilton hotel on the lower 23 floors. Views across Manchester from the hotel are spectacular.
If you are staying in the Hilton Manchester you should visit Cloud 23 for a cocktail or dinner. It really feels like you are floating above the city centre.
The Hilton Deansgate also has a heated swimming pool, gym and spa. Unwind if you are visiting Manchester on business. This hotel is ideally located for many bars, restaurants and shops in Manchester city centre, as well as being within a few minutes of Picadilly and Victoria stations. Manchester is also well served by an efficient tram system for travelling to Salford Quays and Old Trafford, if you are visiting Manchester to watch Manchester United FC.
A hotel in Manchester is a good alternative to staying in an apartment. Serviced City Pads currently book apartments in Manchester but will soon be looking to add Manchester hotels to it’s listings. The company feels that hotels and serviced apartments offer a complimentary product to the city visitor. One isn’t necassarily better than the other, but can satisfy different requirements to the Manchester visitor.
