Serviced apartments available in Manchester for Frankie Boyle at the Manchester Apollo

Monday, February 6th, 2012

Frankie Boyle will be coming to Manchester in September to play the Manchester Apollo. The controversial comedian’s “The Last Days of Sodom” tour this year will include three nights at the Apollo from the 20th – 22nd September 2012. If you will be coming to Manchester to see Frankie Boyle and will be requiring accommodation for the night, have you considered staying in a Manchester serviced apartment? Serviced apartments are an increasingly popular alternative to hotels as they can provide much more space and comfort at competitive prices. The vast majority of serviced apartments have a living and dining area and a kitchen where you can cook your own meals. Apartments in Manchester are an ideal choice for accommodation for visitors to the city, and on the Serviced City Pads website we have a range of options in great central locations that can be viewed by visiting the Manchester city page on our website.

Frankie Boyle is one of the most controversial British comedians of the last few years. He came to everyone’s attention thanks to his role as a regular on TV comedy show “Mock The Week”. Audiences delighted in Boyle’s dark and caustic sense of humour and he has also built up a following through his live shows. Ultimately Boyle was perhaps slightly too dark for the show, leaving in 2009 to concentrate on his own channel 4 comedy show “Frankie Boyle’s Tramadol Nights”. Frankie Boyle’s new live show “The Last Days of Sodom” will tour the UK this year and the Manchester shows will be a great chance for his fans to see him live and uncensored. If you have never been to a Frankie Boyle show before, be warned: it is not for the easily offended!

If you would like to learn more about Manchester apartments for one of the nights that Frankie Boyle is playing the Manchester Apollo you can talk to our reservations team by calling 0844 335 8866 or send us an enquiry through the Serviced City Pads website.

Serviced apartments available in Manchester for The War of the Worlds at the MEN Arena

Tuesday, January 24th, 2012

The Martians are going to invade Manchester this December! The latest re-imagining of the award winning stage show “The War of the Worlds” will be coming to the MEN Arena on the 9th December 2012 in what should be an absolutely incredible night for any fans of this classic show. If you will be coming to Manchester to see the show there are Manchester apartments available for the night. Serviced apartments are a great alternative option to hotels, as they have much more space, and are the perfect place to relax in during your stay in Manchester.

“The War of the Worlds” is one of the most beloved stage shows and it is coming back in 2012 with a fresh approach. Hollywood star Liam Neeson will be taking over Richard Burton’s iconic role, but with a twist. Thanks to the latest projection technology, Neeson will be appearing on stage in holographic form as an 11 foot tall head and shoulders floating above the stage. If that isn’t impressive enough, there will also be a 35 foot tall Martian Fighting Machine on stage, which weighs 3 tonnes! It is said that the special effects are truly incredible, with the Martian Fighting Machine “incinerating” a cast member. The show definitely sounds like fun for all the family. Ally all this with Jeff Wayne in the house to conduct the band playing his classic score, and rumoured musical guests, and it should be an incredible night.

If you will be travelling to Manchester for the show and are looking for accommodation, there are serviced apartments in Manchester available for the night. If you would like to find a Manchester serviced apartment for your visit, take a look at the Manchester city page to see the options available. To talk to our reservations team about your visit call us on 0844 335 8866 or send us your enquiry through the website.

This season’s Premier League is shaping up as a battle between Manchester United and Manchester City for the title. Manchester United began the season as the favourites, as they have done for many seasons since the Premier League’s foundation. The Red Devils won a record 19th league title last season, eclipsing Liverpool’s record of 18, and with a comeback win against City in the charity shield all the signs pointed to continued United dominance in this year’s league season. The pundits were quick to point out the injection of youth into the squad with the acquisition of Phil Jones, Ashley Young, and David de Gea, as well as a coming of age for United academy products Danny Welbeck and Tom Cleverley, and it was argued that United would be unstoppable this season. However, as the season has progressed it has become clear that City have significantly closed the gap on their rivals, and with the signings of Sergio Aguero, Samir Nasri and Gael Clichy along with the continued development of Mario Balotelli and Edin Dzeko (not to mention the peerless David Silva), they are now looking like serious title contenders. The first derby of the season at Old Trafford was billed as a title decider (in October…) and it was expected to be a toe to toe slugfest between two titans. What emerged instead was arguably the most embarrassingly one-sided contests of the season (yes, even more than Arsenal versus United – at least the Gunners had the excuse of fielding a massively understrength and inexperienced team due to injuries and suspensions) as Fergie’s boys were hammered 6 – 1. As the goals mounted up it became clear that we could be seeing a defining moment in the history of both clubs – could this season see City become the dominant Manchester superpower, eclipsing their rivals? Well, before we get carried away this was just one match and there is a whole lot of football to be played between now and the end of the season. The one thing that can be guaranteed is that for Manchester football fans this season will be even more exciting than usual.

If you will be coming to Manchester for any United or City matches, or for anything else, you should consider serviced apartments for your stay. To find out more about serviced apartments and to see what options are available to you, please contact us here at Serviced City Pads. You can call us on 0844-335-8866 to discuss your requirements with our reservations team, or you can simply send your enquiry to us via the Serviced City Pads website and we will send out the best options to you.

There’s More To Corporate Accommodation In Manchester Than Hotels

Friday, January 8th, 2010

If you need to put staff up in Manchester, hotels may seem the obvious choice, and they may be fine for a few nights, but they are not the only option for corporate accommodation in Manchester.

Especially for companies who need accommodation for longer periods, serviced apartments offer a genuinely cost-effective alternative to hotels. Serviced apartments are the perfect ‘half-way house’ between self-catering and hotel accommodation, offering a clean, safe and fully-furnished place to stay in a ‘home from home’ environment.

Service apartments offer many of the comforts of a hotel, including, for example, fresh bed linen and maid service. Equally, having a fully-equipped kitchen means your staff can self-cater. Not only does this save on restaurant bills, but gives extra flexibility. Your employees won’t be restricted to hotel dining times, for example if a meeting over-runs.

A hotel room isn’t always the most appropriate place to hold a business meeting. But with a serviced apartment, your staff will have plenty of space to host meetings, and be well-placed to offer clients food and drink as necessary.

At Serviced City Pads, we have apartments at rates which put hotels in the shade and offer corporate accommodation across Manchester. One of the best things about what we offer is flexibility in terms of convenient locations to suit you and where you need to be in Manchester. We have apartments near the MEN Arena, Deansgate station and other city centre locations. Or how about a two bedroom penthouse in the city’s fashionable Northern Quarter?

To make our rates even more attractive, we’re currently offering free nights on some of our properties. So make us your first port of call. Log on today and find out why our corporate accommodation in Manchester makes sound business sense.
