Conservative party conference accommodation Birmingham

Monday, July 26th, 2010

The ICC Birmingham claims to be the premier conference venue in the UK and is handily situated in Birmingham, in the heart of the UK. 2010 sees the Conservative Party holding their annual conference at the ICC between Sunday 3rd October and Wednesday 6th October. To book your conference accommodation in Birmingham please contact Serviced City Pads by email at info@servicedcitypads.com.

But what is it that has attracted the Conservative party to hold their annual conference in Birmingham and what is it like to stay in a serviced apartment or hotel in Birmingham for a conference delefate?

At Serviced City Pads we think that Birmingham is a tremendous city that has made incredible strides following large investment over the past few years. Visit Birmingham today and you will find a thriving commercial hub with a fantastic shopping centre, plenty of bars and restaurants, with a wide variety of choices of accommodation in Birmingham city centre.

The ICC itself stages more than 400 events every year, although it is probably fair to say that there is non more prestigious than the Conservative party conference, which will be the focus of the national media and where David Cameron will make his first conference speech as British Prime Minister. The conference centre is situated on the fringe of Birmingham city centre, so if you decide to stay in a Birmingham serviced apartment then you will find yourself just a short stroll from conference venue.

Serviced City Pads is a specialist booking company with a wide range of serviced apartments in Birmingham city centre. The apartments offer a range of options and suit an array of tastes and budgets. If you are planning to stay in Birmingham for the first time we will be happy to point you in the right direction when it comes to restaurants in Birmingham and any other activities as well as organising your Birmingham conference accommodation. In terms of accessibility, Birmingham is probably the easiest city to reach from anywhere else in the country, just a couple of hours north of London and within two hours of Liverpool, Manchester and Leeds.

At Serviced City Pads we have noticed that hotels and serviced apartments get booked up very quickly in advance when their is a major conference in town and we anticipate that this time the hotels in Birmingham will get booked up quicker than ever as it is effectively a victory conference for the Conservatives, although we don’t anticpate much is a triumphant atmosphere as Mr Cameron will be keen to emphasis the economic problems that the country faces. That’s probably a good reason to book spacious and good value serviced apartments in Birmingham, but that’s another story!

Tuesday, June 8th, 2010

Corporate accommodation has a reputation for being boring and cold. Small and basic hotel rooms are often the most common choice when away on a business trip and can be a lonely and bland place to spend your time.

Often, when away on business you have a lot of time in the evenings to unwind and relax or catch up on some work but a hotel is not always the best environment within which to do this. Noise, strict meal times and basic facilities can make your spare time a bit of a bore. However, this no longer needs to be the case due to new corporate accommodation in Birmingham.

Adding new serviced apartments Birmingham

Tuesday, May 4th, 2010

Serviced City Pads is the Liverpool based company that specialises in the booking of serviced apartments in many locations across the UK. With strong organic listings in both Manchester and Liverpool, the company is growing and seeing it’s Google rankings improve in Birmingham, London and Edinburgh.

Chris Rose, Managing Director at Serviced City Pads commented, “We are working in a competitive industry. It is really important that potential customers; whether they are leisure visitors to Birmingham or corporate clients working in London; can find us. It’s not only about these people finding Serviced City Pads, we need to have the market presence that enables the guest to trust our brand. It is all very well appearing in the “Sponsored Links” section of Google. These ads are paid for and many customers are aware of this. I don’t think you can sustain a growing business by only having sponsored links.

Of course, this becomes self fulfilling, as our website becomes more trusted the more people will visit and it then becomes more trusted by virtue of an improved ranking for the most pertinent searches.

The Servicd City Pads website now stands on the cusp of page 1 for the seach term “serviced apartments Birmingham” which will mean that the volume of traffic (guests) looking for accommodation in Birmingham will begin to rise. This means that we have to sharpen our customer offering of Birmingham apartments

As well as looking to add to the listings of serviced apartments in Birmingham to our site, we will be speaking to our current operators about enabling current listings to book online. We are finding more and more of our apartment bookings (particularly leisure visitors) are coming directly from the website. It isn’t a difficult or time consuming job for serviced apartment operators in Birmingham to maintain availability online at www.servicedcitypads.com. In turn this really increases the credibility of the company with the customer.

We believe that Birmingham offers a great opportunity to grow our business. City breaks in Birmingham aren’t in the same league as with somewhere like Edinburgh or London. However, the big opportunity is for people visiting Birmingham for a conference or staying in Birminhgam with work. The corporate accommodation market in Birmingham is much bigger than in Liverpool or Manchester.”

If you own or manage serviced apartments in Birmingham and don’t currently have your apartments listed with Serviced City Pads, then please give us a call on 0844 335 8866. Listing your apartments with us is FREE of charge and rates of commission are very competitive.

The ICC hosts more than 500 events every year, and can welcome several thousand international delegates in its 11 halls and 10 meeting rooms as well as a team of experienced planners.

There are plenty of options for accommodation nearby including Serviced Apartments, which are a great way to enjoy executive accommodation and space at great value prices. Hotels can sometimes be a hit or miss affair, so spare yourself the disappointment and consider booking a serviced apartment with Serviced City Pads. A serviced apartment allows you more space, greater privacy and provides excellent value for money when compared with similar specification hotels and for these reasons, short stay apartments are quickly becoming a preferred alternative to staying in a hotel in Birmingham.

There are always major national and international events and conventions going on at the ICC Political events such as the G8 Summit meeting in 1998 party political conferences have been held at the venue. 2 years ago The ICC hosted the 2008 Conservative Party conference, with the ICC welcoming over 13,000 delegates, which was the highest attendance of any previous party conference the Conservatives had held. The Conference was widely hailed as a success by exhibitors and visitors, with over 800 press members attending broadcasting around the world. The Conservative Party are due back again later this year for the 2010 Conservative Party Conference 3th – 6th October 2010.

The ICC has recently celebrated a major milestone after the return of the British Small Animal Veterinary Association through its doors for the 20th consecutive time. The first ever event to be staged at the venue in 1991 when the ICC first opened was the BSAVA and it has grown to become now the largest conference outside the USA for veterinary surgeons in the world.

One of the best options for accommodation in Birmingham for ICC events is to book serviced apartments which are fast becoming the preferred option over hotels in the UK. Give Serviced City Pads a ring if you’re looking to book apartments as they can find the best options suitable for your requirements. Whether you’re looking for the luxury and space of a serviced apartment, or the practicality and value of being  able to relax in the living area, cook your own food without the formalities of the hotel restaurant and eat somewhere away from the end of your bed, Serviced City Pads can help you find the right accommodation.

Serviced City Pads sets up referral scheme for apartment operator enquiries

Wednesday, February 3rd, 2010

Serviced City Pads is pleased to announce that it now offers serviced apartment operators 3% of the total value of bookings made as a result of operator referrals.

Chris Rose, Managing Director at Serviced City Pads said “We feel that it is important to offer our apartment operators an incentive for referring enquiries to us that, for whatever reason, they can’t fulfil. For any enquiries that we convert into a booking – whether that’s for serviced apartments Manchester or wherever else in the UK – we will pay the operator 3% of the total value of the booking.

We hope that this will be useful to apartment operators on two levels. Firstly, a company that offers serviced Apartments Birmingham but not other cities may have a corporate guest who has stayed in Birmingham, but is them working in Edinburgh and requires accommodation in Edinburgh. If they refer the enquiry to us and we convert into a booking, the Birmingham apartment manager will make money from that booking.

Secondly, if there is a serviced apartment booking company in Manchester that has an enquiry for Manchester, but they happen to be full for that weekend (or however long the stay is for), Serviced City Pads will generally be able to find availability as we work with the vast majority of serviced apartment companies in Manchester. again there is money to be shared in this instant.

Of course, the enquiry needs to be sent over independently and we will always let the operator know if the request for the stay has already been received. There is an element of trust from both sides, but we feel that we have developed good relationships with our serviced apartment operators.

We hope that this acts as an incentive to our apartment operators to share leads with us that we may not have. It will also make finding accommodation for our customers easier as we will speak to a number of operators across each city on their behalf. We find this works well for customers as the way we work cuts out a lot of the donkey work and hassle of finding serviced apartments or other types of accommodation (we are working on being able to offer hotels in Manchester and Liverpool over the next 3-6 months).”

Serviced City Pads is a professional booking company. We are happy to welcome new apartment listings onto our site. If you are a serviced apartment company that isn’t currently listed on www.servicedcitypads.com then please give us call on 0844 335 8866. We are constantly looking to expand our coverage across the UK, so please do not be concerned if we don’t already have the town or city covered where your serviced apartments are. We will be delighted to discuss listing your apartments with Serviced City Pads. If you have corporate enquiries for different cities that you can’t accommodate please feel free to get in touch, as those lost enquiries may be worth some additional revenue to you.

Stay in Serviced Apartments Birmingham during IPEX 2010

Friday, December 11th, 2009

IPEX is one of the Big four printing events and runs every four years. IPEX is a global exhibition for the Graphic Communications Industrty and will take place at Birmingham’s NEC from 18-25 May 2010. It is sure to be a huge event in the Birmingham exhibitions calendar and as there are many delegates visiting Birmingham from overseas there is sure to be a mad scramble for all of the available accommodation in Birmingham.

If you are an exhibitor at IPEX 2010 you can call Serviced City Pads to book your Birmingham Serviced Apartment now. We are suggesting that apartments are booked as early as possible as on previous occasions many delegates have had to stay miles from Birmingham due to the lack of hotels in Birmingham (and other types of accommodation).

As this is a seven day event, Serviced City Pads believes that staying in a Birmingham apartment is the sensible choice rather than booking a hotel room. This is just the sort of stay where serviced apartments really come into their own. The additional space that a serviced apartment offers v a hotel room in Birmingham means that you can relax as if you were staying at home. A 2 bedroom serviced apartment option will also mean that you can share the cost of accommodation and this will mean you save money v staying in a hotel. So as well as being a more spacious option for your stay in Birmingham, we would also suggest that a serviced apartment is a more ecomical option than staying in an equivalent quality hotel. Book soon as we are sure that availability will become scarce after New Year.

Check out our apartments at www.servicedcitypads.com or call us on +44 151 709 8000. We will be delighted to book an apartment for your stay in Birmingham.
