Serviced apartments in Liverpool for LFC home games

Tuesday, October 25th, 2011

Serviced apartments in Liverpool are an increasingly popular option for visitors to the city. Here at Serviced City Pads we have a wide range of serviced apartments available in Liverpool that can be viewed by looking at the Liverpool city page on our website.

Serviced apartments are always in high demand in Liverpool any time there is a Liverpool FC home game at Anfield. This is a hugely important season for the Redmen as they are looking to regain their place amongst the European elite by qualifying for the UEFA Champions League. It will not be an easy task given the competition for the top four places; it used to be that there was a “top four” of Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal, and Liverpool, but now there is arguably a “top six” of Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur, and Manchester City. The competition for the title this year looks like being a heavyweight contest between United and City (with Chelsea perhaps able to get in amongst it), which means that the fight for fourth is a battle between Arsenal, Tottenham, and Liverpool. Not only will these three teams be aiming to reach the Champions League, they will probably also be dreading the terrible fate of Europa League qualification. It used to be that UEFA’s second competition was great fun – any Liverpool fan will fondly recall the 2001 UEFA Cup triumph. There is something wonderful about a simple two-legged knock out tournament, but unfortunately this great format has been replaced by a league format that results in matches that many football fans struggle to care about. The UEFA Cup used to hark back to the old days of the European Cup and the excitement of knock-out cup football; now it has been reduced to the Champions League’s ugly sibling. Liverpool were fortunate enough to miss out on Europa League qualification last season, and they will be hoping that they can qualify for the Champions League this season. However, this will not be easy given that Tottenham have gotten off to a flying start this season, and Arsenal seem to slowly but surely be putting their nightmare start behind them. To claim fourth, Liverpool need to be grabbing maximum points between now and the end of the season; too many games have seen the Reds fail to get maximum points despite performing well – the most recent example being Saturday’s match with Norwich. Kenny’s men should have been out of sight by half-time, but instead claimed only a point. There’s still a long way to go, but Liverpool will need to start getting the points they need to ensure that they can regain their place at the top tier of European football.

Serviced apartments are available in Liverpool for anyone travelling to see Liverpool FC play at home. Serviced apartments are a great alternative to the traditional hotel option, as they can offer a home away from home at competitive prices. Liverpool Boat Show 2011

Wednesday, December 9th, 2009

It is great news that Sir Robin Knox-Johnston has agreed to be Chairman of the steering group that will oversee the running of the Liverpool Boat Show 2011. Sir Robin was recently quoted as saying, “I have had the pleasure of experiencing Liverpool’s sheer love of yachts and all things connected to the sea through my association with the Clipper Round the World yacht race, the Tall Ships event, and Liverpool’s year of the sea.”

The Liverpool boat show will run from April 29th to May 8th 2011 with boats being exhibited at the Albert Dock, Salthouse Dock and Canning Dock – these make up the largest number of Grade 1 listed buildings in the UK and form part of Liverpool’s famous waterfront adjacent to the incredible Three Graces.

It seems strange that Liverpool, a city with such a rich boating and maritime history, hasn’t had such an eventy on it’s calendar before 2011. The staging of this event heralds another leap forward by a city that was in tatters 20 years ago. Liverpool’s economic progress has been rapid and the city was recently celebrated as European Capital city of Culture in 2008, and the city celebrated in style.

It is claimed that the Liverpool boat show will become an annual event which will inject Millions of Pounds into the Liverpool economy.

Chris Rose, Owner at Serviced City Pads said, “This is another fantastic shot in the arm for the Liverpool economy, with upwards of half a million additional people visiting Liverpool each year for the Boat Show. Of course, for a company like Serviced City Pads it is great news. We will be able to offer great deals for visitors to stay in hotels in Liverpool as well as serviced apartments in Liverpool. As well as organising accommodation for paying visitors we will also be speaking to the exhibiting boat companies as well as the event organisers to arrange Liverpool hotels and apartments for their staff staying in Liverpool for the duration of the show.”

Serviced City Pads works with the vast majority of serviced apartment operators in Liverpool as well as many other cities across the UK. During 2010 we will also be adding a hotel offering that will complement our already wide range of serviced apartments. This is great news for the Serviced City Pads customer who will have an increased choice across a wider range of accommodation.

Serviced City Pads can be contacted on 0844 335 8866 to discuss your accommodation requirements. Alternatively, visit us at www.servicedcitypads.com.
