Royal Liverpool Philharmonic

On your short trip to Liverpool don’t forget a trip to the Royal Philharmonic Hall based in the Georgian Quarter, opened on 27th August 1849, Philharmonic Hall has long been an acclaimed and integral part of the artistic life of Liverpool, and was described as ‘the best in Europe’ by Sir Thomas Beecham before being destroyed by fire in 1933. The present hall, designed by architect Herbert Rowse and opened in 1939, quickly established itself as both a concert hall and cinema. The art deco splendour of Philharmonic Hall was restored in 1995 following a £10.3 million refurbishment; parts of the foyer are said to be based on decoration in the tomb of Tutankhamen.Serviced Apartments are fast becoming the accommodation choice of many Liverpool visitors and with the Philharmonic Hall presenting on average 250 concerts, events and films, attended by approximately 250,000 people per annum serviced  apartments are increasingly becoming an alternative to hotels in Liverpool from 2 nights to 6 months they offer great value. Serviced Apartment customers visiting the Royal Philharmonic see an illustrious tradition of bringing the top names from rock, jazz, world, classical and contemporary music to Liverpool. The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Buddy Holly all appeared here early on in their careers. More recent appearances have included Blondie, Sigur Ros, Nitin Sawhney, Joan Baez, Willy Nelson, Tony Bennett, Morrissey and Jamie Cullum. The Hall also features comedy – Jimmy Carr and Dara O’Briain have played here in recent months - and classic films on its unique Walturdaw rising cinema screen, the only working screen of its type left in the world. Recent screenings have included Memoirs of a Geisha, The Philadelphia Story and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Please contact Martin or Chris of Serviced City Pads on 0151 709 8000 or alternatively look at the extensive range of serviced apartments on www.servicedcitypads.com

Serviced Apartments In Liverpool – The 2008 European Capital Of Culture

Liverpool is 2008’s European Capital City of Culture. This prestigious title
not only rewards Liverpool for its already enjoyable cultural experience, but
it has also led to many festivals, concerts, and other events being arranged
throughout the year and beyond. Unfortunately, this means that a lot of hotels
are booked up and those that aren’t, charge high prices.

Better Than City Hotels?

Serviced apartments are located throughout the city and enable visitors to
enjoy all of the benefits of this cultural year with numerous benefits. Happily,
serviced apartments often work out cheaper than their hotel counterparts too
despite offering a more convenient and enjoyable living environment, fitted
kitchen, and high quality decoration and fixtures.

The Docks

Liverpool Docks have always been a popular destination with holidaymakers.
The area, along with many other areas of the city, have undergone substantial
regeneration efforts making them even more appealing and especially pleasant.
Serviced apartments in the area are extremely high quality and modern but also
retain the more relaxed and personable feel that you only get with an apartment.

A Shopper’s Paradise

The city centre is a vibrant region offering cultural events, local bars and
restaurants, and many places to visit. If shopping is your thing then the city
centre is where it all happens with vast shopping centres and arcades. The
Cheshire Oaks designer outlet is one of the biggest of its kind with more than
140 designer shops offering every conceivable type of product. Serviced apartments
can be found in the centre or near any of the major shopping centres.

Enjoy The City Of Music While Staying At Serviced Apartments

Since the 1960s, Liverpool is a city that has been synonymous with music.
The Beatles may be the most famous of the bands that hail from the region but
they are only one of many. Gerry and the Pacemakers and the Searchers, as well
as more recent bands like the Zutons and the La’s are all from Liverpool and
the surrounding region.

Liverpool’s Musical Heritage

Music is a major part of Liverpool culture, and is partially responsible for
the city becoming the European City of Culture for 2008. In light of this achievement,
there are even more musical exhibitions and events being hosted this year than
ever before with popular acts combining with classical, jazz, and the most
popular names in many other genres of music performing in Liverpool in the
coming months.

Serviced City Apartments

If you’re looking for a relaxed and enjoyable way to spend some time getting
to grips with Liverpool’s musical heritage and to attend some of this year’s
events you should consider staying in a serviced apartment in Liverpool. You
can tour the numerous Beatles venues and museums, see some of the more recent
acts to come out of the city, and then find your way to a high quality, luxuriously
furnished apartment.

Be A Part Of Liverpool Life

Serviced city apartments are a unique way to enjoy city life because they
present you with the opportunity to really become a part of it instead of always
looking in from the outside. Apartments can be found near any of the most popular
attractions or completely away from the vibrant city while still providing
convenient access when needed.

“The Beat Goes On” is a free exhibition at the stunning World Museum, Liverpool that celebrates Liverpool’s contribution to popular music over the years. There is no doubt that Liverpool is famous across the globe for music and was named “World city of pop” by the Guiness Boof of Records in 2001.

This exhibition charts the tales and successes of local artists from The Beatles to The Zutons, providing a sample of the sounds, talent and creativity of Liverpool’s music makers.

This free exhibition runs until November 2009 so make sure to add it to your list of things to do if you are planning to visit Liverpool. World Museum Liverpool is situated in Liverpool city centre just a short stroll from Liverpool Lime Street train station and surrounded by a number architectural beauties, particularly the Grade 1 listed St. Georges Hall.

Serviced Apartments - Ideal For Business Or Pleasure

Serviced apartments offer a comfortable and pleasurable alternative to hotel stay. For short to medium term and long term stays, a serviced apartment is also usually a more affordable alternative. Location, Location, Location

Fully furnished apartments are situated in and around the city of Liverpool. For pleasure seekers and holidaymakers they offer a home away from home and give a more relaxed feel than the more formal hotel rooms. They also provide much greater privacy and enable you to delve into local life as though you lived in the city yourself.

Business And Industry

Many large organisations and businesses have offices around the city. Liverpool serviced apartments can be used for short term stay during a conference or extended meeting.

Start Your Relocation The Ideal Way

Enjoy The Historical City Of Liverpool While Staying In A Luxury Serviced Apartment

Liverpool has a long, proud, and rich history. In 1207, King John first used
what is now called Liverpool as a convenient passage to Ireland. Initially,
a port was formed to make the crossing more convenient and the city gradually
spread from around this very royal beginning. Over time, the reach of Liverpool
port increased and it became a major trading hub of the UK.

Recent History

Later, in the 1960s, Liverpool became known as the music capital of the world;
a reputation helped and further enhanced by the Beatles – perhaps the most
famous sons of Liverpool. While the city then suffered economic decline it
has, in recent years, fought its way back to prominent and is now bigger, better,
and stronger than ever. Being crowned the European Capital of Culture for 2008
is testament to this very fact.

Serviced Apartments In Liverpool

One of the most flexible ways to enjoy a stay in the historical city of Liverpool
is in a serviced apartment. Serviced apartments are fully furnished apartments
with fitted kitchens and many of the luxuries of home. They differ greatly
from the more formal tone of city centre hotels and are located in and around
Liverpool city so that guests have their choice of the type of area they stay.

An Unforgettable Experience

Liverpool serviced apartments offer excellent space and, usually for the same
price or less than one of the many hotels in the region, serviced apartments
can make an already excellent holiday destination even more unforgettable.

Liverpool Serviced Apartments – Ideal For Your Business Needs

Liverpool is perhaps most widely known for being a city of culture and entertainment,
but it is also home to many offices, industries, and organisations. As such,
a lot of business people travel to the region to stay for meetings and seminars
or for short term working contracts. A lot of families have relocated to Liverpool
in the past to follow their careers, and have successfully found new homes,
jobs, and schools for all of the family.

Very Short Term Stays

After a long business meeting or seminar, a hotel room isn’t the most appealing
location for a lot of people. Rather than ordering room service and worrying
over the cost of the mini bar or finding that the tea and coffee supplies are
all gone, serviced city apartments offer a level of convenience and relaxation
that aren’t afforded by hotels.

Fully Furnished Apartments And Fitted Kitchens

Fully furnished apartments include fitted kitchens as well as pleasant living
rooms and bedrooms. Local restaurants and takeaways are just a phone call or
a few steps away because serviced apartments are located in the heart of residential
areas (unless you want an apartment that’s out of the way, of course).

Making Business Trips Bearable With Serviced Apartments

Longer business trips make hotel living even less appealing, more expensive,
and typically less healthy. Living from the suitcase isn’t many people’s idea
of fun. If you’re starting a temporary contract or are looking to relocate
completely to Liverpool it’s possible to arrange accommodation for a single
night, several nights, or many months and enjoy a more personable and enjoyable
stay in the beautiful city of Liverpool.

Enjoy A Home Away From Home With Serviced City Pads

Hotels and other guest accommodation may often brag that they are a home away
from home, but their impersonal services and often clinical interior are far
from being homely. In contrast, Liverpool serviced apartments offer a unique
guest experience by truly providing a home away from a home. They don’t just
like home, they are home for as long as you stay.

A More Authentic Trip

City hotels are usually located in the heart of regions that accommodate to
the tourist. While this may provide convenience, it detracts from the authenticity
of a stay. The hotel itself will further compound this – even the highest quality
hotels with the finest rooms and most pleasant staff still have a clinical
and less welcoming feel.

Flexible Accommodation

Guests can arrange to stay in a fully furnished apartment in any of the regions
of Liverpool. From Beatles based vacations to out of town business meetings
you’re certain to find a relaxing and pleasant serviced apartment that caters
to your needs. Liverpool is a vast city with many different things to do and
places to see.

The Ideal Alternative To Impersonal Hotel Services

Serviced city pads offer flexible pricing plans. Daily, weekly or monthly
rates can usually be arranged to accommodate any length of stay. When you consider
that a serviced apartment includes greater freedom and more space as well as
all of the amenities you enjoy at home it’s surprising to learn that these
prices are typically lower than those offered by hotels.
